The commercial harbour at Stavanger, Norway. The photographer is looking along the waterfront showing steam and motor fishing vessels alongside the quays and jetty. A motor fishing vessel is under way approaching the photographer and another with the port registration R.9.K is alongside the end of a jetty on the right. A number of vessels are berthed stern-on to the quay which is fronted by the premises of Chr. Bjellands & Co. A/S. A grain silo is to the left of centre. The building on the right has Trelast-Taksten-Mursten, Olje Companiet, Handel Krydsfinerer and Nor-Pol on it.
