The photographer is on the poop looking forward and to starboard showing passengers lining the rail on the promenade deck and a local passenger steamer, seen from off her starboard quarter, is manoeuvring close to her hull. The island of Skeppsholmen is in the background and the Swedish Navy hulk Vanadis (1862), seen from dead ahead, is moored stern-on to the quay. She is a former ship rigged screw frigate. A vertical format negative.
