A general view of the Gamla Stan district of Stockholm, Sweden. The photographer is looking north-by-west from an elevated position close to the shore in Sodermalm. The cloverleaf roads are in the foreground, the Centralbron railway bridge crosses the Soderstrom in the centre and the small fish harbour is next to it. The Kafe Tre Kronor is on the right facing the fish harbour. In the extreme right background is the steeple of the Saint Klara Church and in the centre is the iron steeple of the Riddarholm Church. The City Hall with its distinctive square tower is to the left of centre in the background.
