Quayside view of the sailing ship Risor II (1914) and 3 unidentified yachts moored on the River Tyne during the Cutty Sark Tall Ships Race in July 1993
A quayside view of the sailing ship Risor II (1914) and 3 unidentified yachts moored on the River Tyne during the Cutty Sark Tall Ships Race in July 1993. The first unidentified vessel is moored alongside the quay and has a man and woman at the forward end of the boat. The sails are furled on the mast and the wheelhouse is visible at the aft end. Moored on the port side of this vessel is the sailing yacht Risor II, whose name is visible on a yellow poster attached to the boom of the mizzen mast. Three people can be seen standing next to an open hatchway at the aft end of the ship. Moored on Risor II's starboard side is an unidentified sailing yacht. Its details are partially obscured by the spritsail from the first vessel. The vessel is properly dressed overall and the numbers "808" are on the sail cover. The fourth vessel, moored on the starboard side of third one, is obscured except for a Swedish ensign attached to the stern post. Moored veesels on the quayside can be seen in the background.
