The Kungstradgarden in the Norrmalm district of Stockholm, Sweden. The photographer is looking south-south-east from a high vantage point showing the statue of Karl XIII on a plinth with a lion on a low pedestal at each corner. The statue is in a square which is bordered by trees. The Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929) is moored in the Saltsjon in the background and two Swedish Navy warships are anchored near her. Passenger ferries are alongside the Skeppsbrokajen is on the right and the district of Sodermalm is in the background. A vertical format negative.
