The Riddarholmen and the west shore of the Gamla Stan district of Stockholm, Sweden. The photographer is looking east-south-east from the Stadthusparken in front on the City Hall showing Eldh's bronze sculptures "Sången" and "Dansen" ("The Song" and "The Dance") on either side of the landing steps in the foreground. Beyond the steps is the swimming pool complex adjoining the Centralbron. Passenger ferries are alongside the Norra Riddarsholmshamnen with the iron steeple of the Riddarholm Church is on the right. The steeple of the German Church is in the background to the right of centre and the tower of the Storkyrkan, officially named Sankt Nikolai kyrka (Church of St. Nicholas) and informally called Stockholms domkyrka (Stockholm Cathedral) can be seen just to the right of the female statue.
