The photographer is looking north-by-east from an elevated position near the shore in Sodermalm showing traffic on the Slussbron with the Slussplan on the left. Commercial premises face the Slussplan including an opticians, a shoe shop, a confectioner and a tobacconist. On the roof of the building is a sign reading "Stockholms Tidningen" and a clock reading 4.35. Passenger ferries are berthed alongside the Skeppsbrokajen and the National Museum on Sodra Blasieholmshamnen is in the background with the Skeppsholmbron bridge next to it.
