Cabo Pilar in the Strait of Magellan from on board the Swedish cruise ship Gripsholm (1925) during one of her annual cruises to South American waters. The photographer is looking to starboard and aft from the starboard side of the upper promenade deck showing passengers at the rail near a stack of folded deckchairs. Lifeboats 15 and 15A are under their davits on the right. The land in the background is almost hidden in the mist. The negative is captioned Cape Pillar. A vertical format negative.
