The Strait of Magellan from on board the Swedish cruise ship Gripsholm (1925) during one of her annual cruises to South American waters. The photographer is on the port side of the bridge wing looking forward and to port showing the number 2 lifeboat under her davits and a small part of the forecastle deck. Her foremast rigging is prominent. The land in the background is rugged and there are snow patches on the mountains. A vertical format negative.
