On board the Swedish cruise ship Kungsholm (1928) at anchor in Holandsfjord in the Svartisen Glacier region of Norway. The photographer is looking forward from the top of the aft accommodation ladder on the starboard side showing two of her motor lifeboats suspended alongside the hull from the falls of the davits. A seaman is standing by the forward falls on the deck of the nearest lifeboat. A landing place with a wooden hut are on the shore on the right and an arm of the Svartisen Glacier in a valley between the mountains is in the centre of the picture.
