A middle distant starboard side view of an unidentified grey vessel, possibly coastguard or patrol, and a Bermudan rig yacht underway at Tynemouth, taken during the Cutty Sark Tall Ships race in July 1993
A middle distant starboard near broadside view of an unidentified grey vessel, possibly coastguard or patrol, under way inbound at Tynemouth, taken during the Cutty Sark Tall Ships race in July 1993. The numbers "UHV 902" (?) are visible on its superstructure. On the far left in the distance is the Archer class training craft Exploit (1988), with the pennant number "A-167" visible on the vessel's bow. A bermudan rig yacht with the wind behind it can be seen on the right hand side of the image, sailing towards the harbour mouth. A passenger vessel is off the yacht's starboard bow near the South Shields pier wall. The photograph has been taken over the heads of a group of seven people who are in the foreground watching the vessel in the harbour.
