Three Polish submarines in the harbour at Tallinn, Estonia.
Three Polish submarines in the harbour at Tallinn, Estonia. The photographer is in a boat looking towards a quay which has the three minelaying submarines Wilk (1929), Rys (1929) and Zbik (1931) berthed abreast. They are seen from abaft the port beam and the Wilk (1929) is the outboard boat. There are stacks of sawn timber on the wharf on the right. The building in the centre background may be the harbourmaster's offices as it has a central tower with a clock, a lookout platform and a signal mast. The negative is slightly out of focus.
