The photographer is looking towards the sea and an unidentified Orient Line cruise ship, seen from just ahead of her port beam, is anchored off the harbour. The possibilities are Orama (1924), Oronsay (1925) or Otranto (1925). The Oleviste Church tower is on the left and the tall, thin tower and spire of the Town Hall is on the right.
