The Tovarysh can be seen in the distance under power, heading into the North Sea. Off its the stern is an unidentified grey patrol/coastguard vessel.The Sir Winston Churchill is following. Some of the crew are unfurling the fore topsail. A variety of moored small craft can be seen on the left hand side of the image. The wall of the Tynemouth Pier and a partial view of a person's leg can be seen in the foreground.
