The French Navy destroyer Basque (1929) anchored off Tangier, Morocco.
A slightly distant starboard side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the French Navy destroyer Basque (1929) anchored off Tangier, Morocco. The photographer is on board the Orient Line cruise ship Orion (1935) which is anchored further offshore. The Basque (1929) has awnings rigged fore and aft and national stripes on her B and X gun mountings. One of the Orion's motor tenders is heading back to the ship from the shore. The town and harbour of Tangier is in the background and Shell oil storage tanks are on the right.
