The harbour and town at Tangier, Morocco.
The harbour and town at Tangier, Morocco. The photographer is looking west-by-north from a boat in the harbour entrance showing the lighthouse on the end of the north breakwater. A single masted, wooden built sailing vessel, dumb lighters and steam tugs are alongside the north wharf which is equipped with a variety of cranes and a single storey shed. A cruise ship's motor tenders are heading seawards from the landing stage. The Continental Hotel is on the lower slopes of the huill beyond the landing stage and a building with 'Shell' on it is on the right.
