Shipping in the harbour and alongside the breakwater at Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Tenerife Island, Canary Islands.

Shipping in the harbour and alongside the breakwater at Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Tenerife Island, Canary Islands. The photographer is looking north-east along the harbour showing a great variety of small craft at moorings in the harbour including rowing boats, lighters, workboats, tugs and schooners. Boat landing steps, a covered shelter and a lighthouse are at the south end of the breakwater. Two and three masted fruit schooners and cargo vessels are alongside the breakwater as well as a large cargo liner with goalpost masts. Alongside the north end of the breakwater and seen from off her port quarter is a Canadian Pacific Steamships cruise ship of the Mont class, one of Montcalm (1921), Montrose (1922) and Montclare (1922). She is dressed overall. The Anaga mountains are in the background.
