Two manual lifeboats alongside the aft accommodation ladder on the starboard side of the Orient Line cruise ship Orion (1935) anchored in a Norwegian fjord.

Two manual lifeboats alongside the aft accommodation ladder on the starboard side of the Orient Line cruise ship Orion (1935) anchored in a Norwegian fjord. The photographer is looking down and forward from the main deck showing lifeboat number 3 inboard of number 4 which is moving away. They have been manned almost entirely by passengers and are getting ready for a race between them. Their oars are tossed. A motor lifeboat and manual lifeboat number 6 are out of shot as they move away from the ship. Negatives numbers P84420 to P84439 inclusive were taken on the same occasion.
