A slightly distant starboard side view of three manual lifeboats and one motor lifeboat from the Orient Line cruise ship Orion (1935) before or after a race in a Norwegian fjord. The photographer is on board the Orion looking down on the boats. The manual lifeboats, numbered 3, 4 and 6, are mainly manned by passengers and some of them have tossed their oars. The motor lifeboat was used to tow the boats to the start and to act as a safety boat during the race. Negatives numbers P84420 to P84439 inclusive were taken on the same occasion.
