A manual lifeboat from the Orient Line cruise ship Orion (1935) in Sognefjord off Balholm, Norway during a regatta. The boat is manned by passengers under the supervision of two crew members. The passengers are struggling to row in unison. The horizon is not level. Competitive rowing regattas were commonplace in cruise ships at boating ports and other sheltered moorings. Negatives numbers P84445 to P84462 inclusive were taken on the same occasion.
