The boats are manned by crew members of the ship and are racing each other. The photographer is on board the ship which is anchored in the fjord. Competitive rowing regattas were commonplace in cruise ships at boating ports and other sheltered moorings. Negatives numbers P84445 to P84462 inclusive were taken on the same occasion.
