Her port anchor is deployed and she has an accommodation ladder rigged to her main deck aft with two boats alongside it. A large number of crew and passengers are gathered at the rails on the forecastle and the front of the superstructure. In the foreground a manual lifeboat manned by passengers under the supervision of two crew members is approaching the ship under oars at the end of a race. Competitive rowing regattas were commonplace in cruise ships at boating ports and other sheltered moorings. Negatives numbers P84445 to P84462 inclusive were taken on the same occasion.
