A group of ten men on the landing stage at Tinos harbour, on the island of Tinos, Greece.
A group of ten men on the landing stage at Tinos harbour on the island of Tinos, Greece. They are standing under an arch of branches and leaves with a suspended banner which reads 'Tinos welcomes the British friends'. Two of the group are probably local police officers and one is an officer of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company. Six are civilians and are probably a mix of local dignitaries and cruise ship representatives. A man wearing a uniform and holding spectacles in his left hand on the right of the picture is not recognized. A group of children and local people is on the left. Two church bell towers are in the background. This negative was taken on the same occasion as negative number P95721.
