A welcome arch on the landing stage at Tinos harbour, on the island of Tinos, Greece.
A welcome arch on the landing stage at Tinos harbour on the island of Tinos, Greece. The arch of branches and leaves has a suspended banner which reads 'Tinos welcomes the British friends' and under the banner are three flags. Amongst the people on the quayside are two naval ratings in No. 1 uniform and four uniformed men who are probably local police officers. Shops with front awnings are in the background. The photographer is on a shore excursion from the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929) and this negative was taken on the same occasion as negative number P95737.
