Tvoroyri and the Trangisvaagsfjordur on the island of Suduroy in the Faroe Islands
A general view of the village of Tvoroyri and the Trangisvaagsfjordur on the island of Suduroy in the Faroe Islands. The photographer is on a shore excursion from the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929) looking south-east over the village and towards the entrance to the fjord from high ground above the village. A general cargo steamship is alongside the main quay and another is at anchor in the fjord. A 2-masted schooner is alongside a small jetty and the Tvoroyri Church, built in 1908, is in the left background.
