Drying filletted fish at Trangisvaag on the island of Suduroy in the Faroe Islands
Drying filletted fish on a purpose built platform at the water's edge at Transgisvaag on the island of Suduroy in the Faroe Islands. The photographer is looking north-west showing the fish laid out in the sun and two stacks of dried fish are covered with canvas and matting. The buildings in the background are a mix of single, two and three storey and all appear to have pitched or sloping roofs. Mountains form the backdrop. The photographer is on a shore excursion from the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929).
