Greenwich (Royal Observatory)
A pencil study from the east, from below the brow of the hill, showing the Great Equatorial building on the left with Flamsteed House seen through winter trees beyond, centre. The date must be between 1919, when the time-ball was replaced, and 1930 when the Wolfe statue was placed on the brow, roughly in line of sight to the time-ball in this drawing. The likelihood that it is January 1924 is explained in notes on PAF1305.
