The beach and a boat jetty to the north of the River Trave at Travemunde, Germany.

The beach and a boat jetty to the north of the River Trave at Travemunde, Germany. The photographer is looking east-north-east from the beach showing a number of large wicker basket seats scattered about the sands and seemingly each seat is protected by a sand bund. These seats are all numbered with a K.V. prefix. Yachts are alongside the end of the long jetty and at the shore end is a notice reading 'Vermietung von Segel-Motor-Ruderbooten' (Rental of sail-motor-rowing boats). Anchored offshore in the distance and seen from ahead of her port beam is the Orient Line cruise ship Orontes (1929).
