It is high tide and large wicker basket seats are scattered about the sands and many of the seats appear to be protected by a sand bund. These seats are all numbered with a K.V. prefix. The wooden buildings on the pier are on the left and many flags, both local and nazi, are in evidence. Large, individually designed properties are facing the Strandpromenade.
