Columbus's anchor on display outside the National Museum building at Port of Spain, Trinidad. The bronze anchor was found in shallow water at Icacos, on the southern coast of Trinidad in 1877 and was documented by Columbus as being lost in August 1498. It was given to the Royal Victoria Institute in Port-of-Spain in 1912. The explanatory notice is standing in a wooden crate with a Brandsam & Henderson label on it. A vertical format negative.
