The Campanile de San Marco (St. Mark's Campanile), the Doge's Palace and the entrance to the Grand Canal in Venice, Italy. The Campanile is the bell tower of St Mark's Basilica located in the Piazza San Marco and is one of the most recognizable symbols of the city. The photographer is on board the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Strathnaver (1931) anchored in the San Marco Basin looking west from the starboard side. Three steam tugs are in close attendance.
