The Campanile di San Marco and the Doge's Palace at Venice, Italy. The Campanile is the bell tower of St Mark's Basilica located in the Piazza San Marco and is one of the most recognizable symbols of the city. The photographer is looking north-north-west from on board the Orient Line cruise ship Orion (1935) which is moored in the San Marco Basin. On the left is the bow, seen from off the starboard side, of the coastal passenger ship Lazzaro Mocenigo (1928) which is moored to a buoy.
