The Isola di San Giorgio Maggiore at Venice, Italy

The Isola di San Giorgio Maggiore at Venice, Italy. The photographer is looking south-east-by-south from a high vantage point showing the church on the island. On the right is the eastern tip of the island of Giudecca and in the background is the Isola di San Servolo. In the left foreground is the stern of the Italian Navy light cruiser Alberico da Barbiano (1930). She is at moorings and is seen from off her port beam, with a full set of awnings rigged over her decks. Everything forward of the after funnel is out of the picrure.
