The city of Vigo, Spain. The photographer is on board an unidentified cruise ship which is at anchor in Vigo Bay. A sloop rigged sailing vessel is under sail in the centre of the picture and beyond it, alongside the landing steps, is one of the motor lifeboats from the cruise ship. A breakwater is being built on the right using large stone or concrete blocks. The fortress of O Castro is on top of the hill in the background.
