The photographer is looking north along the Quai de l'Amiral Courbet from just offshore showing motor tender number 18 from the Orient Line cruise ship Orontes (1929) manoeuvring astern from the jetty. The Capitole Biere Rubens is on the left. A number of Nice registered boats are berthed against the harbour wall including ones numbered 692, 200, 165 and 587. Another boat is registered HIVA-OA.
