The south-west corner of the north harbour at Villefranche-Sur-Mer, France. The photographer is looking west-by-south from the end of the breakwater showing the rear of the Chapelle St. Pierre which fronts the Avenue Sadi Carnot. A number of Nice registered boats are in the harbour and drawn up on shore including ones numbered 160, 162, 208, 237, 82, 836, 614 and 200. Two of the boats are named Rita and L'Amour. A sentry box is alongside the chapel and on the hilltop in the background is the Fort du Mont-Alban.
