The beach and seafront at Zoppot, Free City of Danzig.

The beach and seafront at Zoppot, Free City of Danzig. Zoppot was part of the Free City of Danzig from 1920 to 1939. The photographer is looking south-south-west from the pier showing open boats drawn up on the beach and at anchor just offshore. Many of the boats are single masted and the nearest one is registered ZPT.36. A large number of basket seats are scattered about on the beach with low sand embankments round each one. The top of the bell tower of the Lutheran Church can be seen above the trees on the right.
