The wooden pier at Zoppot, Free City of Danzig. Zoppot was part of the Free City of Danzig from 1920 to 1939. The photographer is looking on board a passenger steamer standing off the north side of the pier looking south-west-by-west showing people waiting on the landing stage below the pier deck. The pier is lined with flag poles and a signal mast is on the end of the pier. At the landward end of the pier is the old lighthouse and on the left is the top of the bell tower of the Lutheran Church.
