Transporting the coffin of an important Italian Fascist from ship to shore at Naples, Italy.
Transporting the coffin of an important Italian Fascist from ship to shore at Naples, Italy. The flag-draped coffin is being carried along the quay to the hearse followed by the official mourners. The route is lined with uniformed people and fascist sympathisers, some of whom are giving the fascist salute. A band is in the background. The Tirrenia coastal passenger/cargo liner which brought the coffin to Naples is alongside the quay. The identity of the ship is not known but it is one of Citta di Napoli (1929), Citta di Tunisi (1929), Citta di Genova (1930) or Citta di Palermo (1930). Berthed beyond this ship is a passenger/cargo liner of the American Dollar Line. Negatives numbers P96145 to P96155 inclusive are of this event.
