Transporting the coffin of an important Italian Fascist from ship to shore at Naples, Italy. The flag-draped coffin is on a ceremonial pontoon being hauled across to the quay from alongside the port bow of a Tirrenia coastal passenger/cargo liner. The identity of the ship is not known but it is one of Citta di Napoli (1929), Citta di Tunisi (1929), Citta di Genova (1930) or Citta di Palermo (1930). A crowd of official mourners is gathered on the quayside, including a group of uniformed girls, and a floral bedecked motor hearse is waiting on the right. Negatives numbers P96145 to P96155 inclusive are of this event.
