The quayside at Suva, Fiji. The photographer is on board a cruise ship in the harbour looking south-by-west and down on the wooden quayside which has a number of spectators on it. A single storey wooden and corrugated iron storage shed is on the left and the passenger brow is named for the Canadian Australasian Line and Union Line. A large number of motor cars are parked on Harris Road and commercial premises fronting the road include Williams & Gosling Ltd, Fiji Planters Union Ltd and Brown & Joske Ltd. A building in the background has Millers on it and the tw1n bell towers of Holy Trinity Cathedral are near the skyline to the left of centre.
