Peterel (1860)

Scale: 1:48. A plan showing the starboard profile of the bow, headrail and figurehead for Peterel (1860), an 11-gun Third Class screw sloop. The figurehead is a three-quarter length female bust in a flowing classical pleated dress. Her hair has been drawn into a bun at the nape of her neck. A carving of a petrel in flight is on the trail-board, referring back to the name of the ship.

Signed by James P. Peake [Master Shipwright, Devonport Dockyard, 1859-]. The plan includes an Admiralty Letter Book number S2420.
