Prince Consort (1862)

Scale: 1:48. A plan showing the bow, headrail, head and proposed carve work for Prince Concert (1862), a wooden-hulled ironclad frigate, converted from a 91-gun Second Rate.

A large curved escutcheon of a stylised foliage frame with a profile portrait of Prince Albert[?] in the centre. A curved ribbon is below the escutcheon, which possibly had the name of the ship in. The plan shows that the bowsprit was movable to below the upper part of the escutcheon.

The plan includes Admiralty Letter Book number DM1153 - 65.
