A three-quarter length figurehead of a female facing forward. She is wearing a close-fitting bodice with a pleated skirt below the waistband. Her hair has been pulled back into a loose bun at the nape of her neck. She is wearing a headband with a six-pointed star at the front above her right eye. The figurehead still survives at HMS Calliope, Gateshead.
Signed by W. Edye [Master Shipwright, Devonport, 1843-1859]. The plan includes an Admiralty Letter Book number S10145.
