Wizard (1830)

Scale: 1:48. Plan showing the bow, head, headrails, trail-board and figurehead for Wizard (1830), a 10-gun brig. The plan for the figurehead relates to the ship’s refit and recommissioning at Plymouth Dockyard in August 1850.

A half-length bust of a bearded male representing a wizard. He is wearing a loose-fitting gown, over which is a broad sash with symbolic lettering in capitals.

Signed by W. Edye [Master Shipwright, Devonport, 1843-1859]. The plan includes an Admiralty Letter Book number S6625.
