Four of the manual lifeboats of the Orient Line cruise ship Orion (1935) racing in an unknown location. This is a distant port bow view of the boats which are manned by crew members and are being escorted by a motor lifeboat acting as safety boat. The three leading boats are numbers 3, 4 and 5 and the remaining boat is far astern. The photographer is on board the Orion looking down on the boats as they approach the finish line. A vertical format negative. Negatives numbers P84472 to P84475 inclusive were taken on the same occasion.
