A motor lifeboat towing two of the manual lifeboats of the Orient Line cruise ship Orion (1935) to the start of a race. The location is unknown. This is a stern view of the boats which are manned by crew members and are being towed in line astern by a motor lifeboat which will also act as safety boat. The photographer is on board the Orion looking down on the boats as they head off to the start line. A vertical format negative. Negatives numbers P84472 to P84475 inclusive were taken on the same occasion.
