A slightly distant port side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the Orient Line cruise ship Orion (1935) alongside a wharf at Lisbon, Portugal. She has an accommodation ladder rigged to a shell door aft and she is flying the Blue Peter from the port yardarm on her foremast. Number 16 lifeboat is swung out and lowered to main deck level. Seen aft of the Orion is the stern of one of the Royal Mail Lines Highland class of five motor driven passenger cargo liners which operated between London and the River Plate.
