A port side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the Orient Line cruise ship Orion (1935) at anchor in a Norwegian fjord. Both anchors are deployed, lifeboats 4, 6 and 16 have been launched and seaboat number 2 has been swung out and lowered to boat deck level. An accommodation ladder is rigged to the main deck aft and a boat is alongside it. Members of the ship's crew and some of the passengers are lining the rails on the forecastle and the front of the superstructure to watch a regatta. A clinker built manual lifeboat is under oars in the foreground, manned by passengers under the supervision of two of the ship's crew. The negative is slightly out of focus.
