Three lifeboats from the Orient Line cruise ship Orion (1935) during abandon ship drill in an unknown location. The photographer is looking down from the ship's rail at the three boats which are loaded with members of the ship's crew, including chefs. Lifeboat number 12 is coming alongside and the crew have tossed the starboard oars. In the foreground is a local bumboat The negative is captioned "Abandon ship". Negatives numbers P84333 to P84335, P84497, P84499 and P84501 were taken on the same occasion.
